Delta Optical microscope cameras from the DLT-Cam PRO series are devices designed to work with various models of microscopes. Thanks to the optical adapters attached to them, it is possible to use them with microscopes with eyepiece tubes or additional camera outputs (third optical paths) with a diameter of 23.2 mm. They can also be placed in eyepiece tubes with diameters of 30 and 30.5 mm. The cameras also have a C-mount, so they can be connected to most microscopes available on the market.

The DLT-Cam Pro 8.3 MP USB 3.0 camera has very high sensitivity, making it an excellent tool for observing specimens in fluorescence, phase contrast or other low-light techniques. Thanks to its high sensitivity, it is much faster compared to other cameras with similar resolution, so it is an excellent solution for observing living objects (e.g. microorganisms) or moving objects.

Sony Exmor sensors are characterized by a low noise level. Cameras equipped with them can prove themselves not only in traditional observations in the bright field technique, but also in dark field, phase contrast, and even fluorescence. High tonal dynamics allow to record details in dark and bright parts of the image, in a way that is unavailable to other camera models.

The color reproduction is at a very high level. The effects obtained with these cameras are compared with CCD sensors, which have always been superior to CMOS sensors in this respect.

The cameras are supported by the Delta Optical DLT-Cam Viewer software, which is used to capture photos and video recordings from the DLT-Cam PRO camera. The software is intuitive and has great possibilities to control the operating parameters of the device. The user can influence, among m.in, the following factors: exposure times (auto/manual), contrast, gamma, saturation, the ability to limit the camera's field of view. Set white and black balance manually and automatically against the selected live view area. Ability to take measurements and export them to MS Excel, composite of focus stacking images, composition of micro-panoramas (both modes both on previously taken photos and on the live image), composition of images with high dynamic dynamics (HDR), insertion of a scale standard, the ability to apply filters, saving camera settings in the form of diagrams, independent selection of the resolution of the live view and saved photos, counting functions, field of view illumination leveling function, noise reduction, live image sharpening. Shooting function in the selected time interval (intervalometer). Possibility to set digital binning and display of the histogram, with the possibility of adjusting the range that can be displayed (also for RGB channels – separately).

The USB 3.0 interface allows for fast operation of the camera. Smooth images can be achieved even in residual light conditions. It is therefore a universal device for a wide variety of applications.
