Action
Blackcurrant oil – immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects due to the properties of gamma-linolenic acid, a precursor of anti-inflammatory prostaglandins PGE1; Anti-inflammatory effects: thanks to the content of GLA and SA acids, blackcurrant oil is able to counteract the formation of highly inflammatory leukotrienes (LTB4) by stimulating the formation of anti-inflammatory leukotrienes (LTB5).
Zinc – prevents pathogenic bacteria from attaching to the intestines and their proliferation, protects intestinal cells by preventing increased permeability of tight junctions and modulating the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokine genes.
